Recruitment of Scientist, Accounts Assistant and Peon

Applications are invited for the under-mentioned temporary posts in TIFAC (an autonomous organization under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India)

1. Scientist C- Three Posts
Age : Not exceeding 35 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Scale of Pay (revised) : Rs 15600-39100+GP 6600.
Nature of Duties: Study, collection, collation/compilation of technical data, Preparation of technical notes/reports, Analysis of technical/scientific documents and monitoring of scientific/technical programmes and support to planning and development of progarmmes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master�s Degree in Science. Preference will be given to candidates whose fields of specialization are Future Studies & Planning, Electronics, Bio-technology, Environmental Science, Production Engineering and Aerospace Engineering.
2. Scientist B � Two posts (one post reserved for OBC)
Age : Not exceeding 28 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Scale of Pay (revised) : Rs 15600-39100+GP 5400.
Nature of Duties: Study, collection, collation/compilation of technical data, Preparation of technical notes/reports, Analysis of technical/scientific documents and monitoring of scientific/technical programmes.

Minimum Qualifications: Master�s Degree in Science or Bachelor�s Degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates whose fields of specialization are Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Food Technology, Bio-technology.

9. Account Assistant � One post
Age: Not exceeding 30 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Pay : Consolidated sum of Rs. 15000/- per month.
Nature of duties: Scrutinizing and processing the bills, preparation of vouchers, maintenance of documents and liaison with firms.

Essential Qualifications: Must be a graduate in commerce, knowledge of Computer will be essential.
Desirable : Minimum 2 years of experience in handling accounts.

10. Peon - One Post
Age : Not exceeding 26 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Scale of Pay (revised) : Rs.5,200-20,200 + GP 1,800.
Nature of duties:
Dusting of files, furniture, equipment etc. in all rooms.
Delivery and dispatch of letters/documents.
Making movements of files etc.
Shifting furniture, equipment etc.
Any other work which can be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications: 10th Std. pass.

Educational Qualification & General Conditions:
1. For the Posts of Management Trainee (Jr. Electrical):- Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate (for ST candidates) from a recognized University/Institution/ State Council of Technical Education.

2. For the Posts of Management Trainee  (Jr. Telecommunication) :
Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation/ Telecommunication Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution / State Council of tech education. However, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50% for ST candidates.

3. For the Posts of Management Trainee (Jr. IT) :
B.Sc(IT) / BCA / Degree in any discipline with PGDCA of minimum one year duration OR, Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Instrumentation / Computer Science with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution. For SC / ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%.

Candidates appearing the final examination may also apply. Their cases will, however, be considered subject to their producing the pass certificate with requisite percentage of marks at the time of interview.
A pass in Oriya Language Test equivalent to M.E. standard is essential. Alternatively, the candidate has to pass the requisite language test in Oriya within one year of appointment.

Age Limit : Not more than 32 years as on 01.04.2010. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of SEBC candidates.

Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be called for written test. Only those candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be called for personal interview at Bhubaneswar. The date and venue of Written Test will be intimated in due course.

Pay Scale :
The duration of the training shall be for a period of one year. During the training period, the Management Trainee (Junior) will be paid monthly consolidated stipend of Rs 8,000/- only.
On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Junior Manager (E-2 Grade) on probation for one year in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300 - 34,800/- plus Grade Pay Rs 4,200/- with usual D.A. and other benefits as per Rules of the Corporation.

Essential Qualification :
B.E. (Mechanical) with minimum 60% marks from a recognised university with inclination to work on R&D projects in design, planning and execution.
Knowledge in thermal & structural FEM analysis using computer software is desirable, though not essential.
