Hi , Friends.....I am Swetha Reddy. By the Grace of GOD and GODDESS i got placed in JSW(Jindal South West) STEEL. Thanks a lots to Jobsadda.blogspot.com by this really i got lots of benefits....... I am from EEE(Electrical & Electronics Engineering) branch. JSW STEEL team visited in our campus on 10th. sept.2007.Total 8 colleges of 4 branches(EEE,Mech,Chem,Civil) were participeted.

Firstly there were very enyhusiastic PPT happened. After that the selection procedures has started.

(1.)WRITTEN TEST:
Totaly there were 400 students for this from all the four branches. There was Technical objective questions of 1hr duration and total no. of questions was 50. The questions papers was different for different branches. For EEE the major portions of questions was from :

Electrical Machines (AC&DC),Measurements,Microprocessor,Digital,Basic Electricals ,LIC,Control Systems ....etc....In which 8to10 was of numerical based and remaining all was fully theoratical based on the basis of basic concepts based questions. Calculator was also allowed in the exam.Time is sufficient for the exam.

I am giving u some advice here just go through the GATE papers of previos 10 to15 years papers speciall 1marks questions and revised ur syllabii...

(2.)GROUP DISCUSSIONS:
Totally around100 students were shortlisted for this round. My Topic was "WHY WE SHOULD GO FOR ARRANGE MARRIAGE". I told in favour of ARRANGE MARRIAGE and some of my friends told in favour of Love Marriage. In my batch there were 15 members..... Some oher batch got the topic Nuclear Deal. They are giving the topic as Common topic or topic releted from Current affairs. Try to initialise the topics or try to tel 3 to 4 times with the important points related from that topics and if u have the nice conclusions related from that topic then also tell as conclusions at final when he ask about conclusions.

(3.)FINAL INTERVIEWS:
Totally around 60 students were short listed for this round. My Interviews was of around 10 to 15 mints ,Interviews Technical cum HR was combined. Sir asked me ,Tel me about ur self,i told very clearly, then he asked what`s ur favourite subject i told about my area of interest TRANSIMISSION and DISTRIBUTION systems and SWITCHGEAR and PROTECTION then he asked me from TRANSMISSION and DISTRIBUTION systems, some definitions , important formulas with relations, some diagram and some questions ... etc...

Next day on 11th. sept.2007 around 12 noon the final Result of Selected condidates came.
Totally 46 students got Selected including me . I cannot expressed about that moment how much i was happy .....really it was the happiest moment for me till that time of my life. Friends dont get dippressed , be confidence definately u will get succes one day.

GAIL EXAM PAPER

Hi friends,

Im Sahil. I appeared for the GAIL exam. As I belong to ece field so my category is telemetry. This exam was different from all others govt. exam. There is no questions from our main subject like digital, analog and other important subjects. The questions were purely based on data comm.. & computer n/w. and some questions were from coding like m-ary, fec, Manchester etc. it was totally unexpected. The time duration was 2 hrs and the total qs 150. There were no negative marking. The technical part consists of 100 qs. & the general awareness part is of 50 qs. Technical part were totally luck based and apti part was easy. The election of a candidate was totally based on his/her luck as no one answering technical part with full confidence. No one is sure of his/her selection. If luck is in my favour Ill surely go through it Im expecting of my good result bcoz I answered many ques true . The cut-off expecting is low in technical part.

I got no pattern of previous exam so Im sharing my views with you. This will surely help students who will compete for this exam. Some questions that I remember are..

Technical part

  1. tcp connection is-a) connectinless b) connectoin oriented and so on

  7. fec, hamming coding, cyclic coding, rhc,and other coding
  8. who invented telegraph
  9. shortest path of algorithm is
  10. gsm total handling time is 15-30 sec and so
  11. 2 or 3 questions were from invention
  12. file transfer protocol. File synchronization
  13. synchronistin bit, data bit and other type of related ques
  14. Mostly qs based on cn and data communication.
  15. so prepare well these subject

Aptitude part is easy.

5 questions based on reasoning

4-6 on figure problem

6 questions based on passage

4 based on articles

8-10 questions based on general awareness

Who is named as black pearl pele, maradonna etc.

This is all about GAIL exam

So prepare well..

Best of luck to all candidates.

Me hoping for my good result

Ok bye.

The yearly festival was close at hand. The store room was packed with silk fabrics. gold ornaments, clay bowls full of sweet curd and platefuls of sweetmeats. The orders had been placed with shops well in advance. The mother was sending out gifts to everyone.

The eldest son, a government servant, lived with his wife and children in far off lands. The second son had left home at an early age. As a merchant he travelled all over the world. The other sons had split up over petty squabbles, and they now lived in homes of their own. The relatives were spread all across the world. They rarely visited. The youngest son, left in the company of a servant, was soon bored and stood at the door all day long, waiting and watching.
